Ansys best Practice: Cira experience external loads, mesh

Roberto Gardi
CIRA

Engineering analysis of real industrial cases can be summarised in two different steps: modelling and numerical resolution of differential equations system. While the second step is well-established, the first one is more critical. Indeed, this phase deals with the link between the physical and the numerical world. In the modelling phase the designer takes all the necessary assumptions to better simulate the reality. CIRA experience shows how having fast and effective modelling tools let the designer to better perform several predictive analyses. Object of this presentation is to show how the ANSYS advance modelling capabilities let to effectively handle complex geometries, to generate high quality meshes and to impose any externally-generated boundary conditions.
